BIOGRAPHY OF JILL BIDEN:

Jill Tracy Jacobs Biden, commonly known as Jill Biden, is an educator, author, and the current First Lady of the United States. She was born on June 3, 1951, in Hammonton, New Jersey. Throughout her life, Jill has been committed to promoting education and supporting military families.

Education and Career


Dr. Jill Biden’s passion for education is evident in her extensive academic background. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Delaware in 1975. Later, she obtained two master’s degrees. One in English from West Chester University, and another in reading from Villanova University. In 2007, she received her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in educational leadership from the University of Delaware.

Jill has dedicated over three decades of her life to teaching. She started her career as an English teacher at St. Mark’s High School in Wilmington, Delaware. She later worked as a reading specialist in public schools and continued to teach at Delaware Technical Community College. Jill’s experience as an educator helped shape her understanding of the challenges faced by students and families. In particular, those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

In addition to her work in the classroom, Jill Biden has been an advocate for community colleges. She believes these institutions play a vital role in providing accessible and affordable education. Jill served as a professor of English at Northern Virginia Community College, where she taught full-time.
