Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 3/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 3/4 teaspoon seafood seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup minced shallots
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound fresh crab meat (preferably from pre-cooked king crab legs)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until fluffy.
  2. Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, dry mustard, paprika, cayenne, seafood seasoning, hot sauce, and lemon juice.  Beat together on low speed until creamy and smooth.
  3. Fold in the shallots, parmesan cheese, and crab meat until well combined.
  4. Scoop the mixture into a lightly-greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top. Broil for an extra 1-2 minutes for a browner, crispy top. Serve immediately with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or pita chips.
