Hot Crab Dip

This rich and creamy crab dip recipe makes for a delicious appetizer, and comes together quickly for your party

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 3/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 3/4 teaspoon seafood seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup minced shallots
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound fresh crab meat (preferably from pre-cooked king crab legs)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until fluffy.
  • Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, dry mustard, paprika, cayenne, seafood seasoning, hot sauce, and lemon juice.  Beat together on low speed until creamy and smooth.
  • Fold in the shallots, parmesan cheese, and crab meat until well combined.
  • Scoop the mixture into a lightly-greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top. Broil for an extra 1-2 minutes for a browner, crispy top. Serve immediately with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or pita chips.
